Coverage Descriptions Third Party Liability Third Party Liability pays for damages caused by you to others (third parties). An example would be and accident caused by you resulting in physical damage to the other vehicle(s) passengers and/or damage to their vehicle. Call us if you need higher limits, we have other options available to discuss. Medical Payments Medical coverage pays for medical expenses for the driver and passengers of the insured vehicle up to the limits per person on the policy. Repairing Damage Physical Damage coverage pays for damages to the insured vehicle resulting from collision, rollover, fire, explosion, lightning, acts of nature and riots. Note: "Comprehensive" coverage as known in the U.S. is not available in Mexico. Repairs Made in the U.S or Canada There are companies that require your vehicle be repaired in Mexico! You are most likely visiting, or on vacation, making it extremely inconvenient if you need to get home. Our companies allow for the insured vehicle to be repaired in the U.S. or Canada. As long as the claim report is made while you are in Mexico, you have the option to have the vehicle repaired in the U.S. or Canada. Hourly Labor Rate for Repairs made in the U.S. or Canada Warning: Many Mexican Insurance Companies (not ours) pay extremely low labor rates for repairs made in the U.S.! Some will pay your claim using Mexican labor rates in Pesos. Stay away from companies who do not allow U.S. or Canadian repairs and U.S. or Canada labor rates. The labor rates on each policy vary, as U.S. labor rates vary. Be sure to choose the coverage you are most comfortable with. Partial Theft ABA Extended, ACE Extended, GNP Extended, and the Genworth Extended policies cover partial theft. This is when only a part of the vehicle is stolen. Partial theft is subject to the Total Theft deductible. Total Theft Check the deductibles for total theft , they vary by company. Vandalism Vandalism is included in the ABA Seguros Extended, the ACE Platinum, the Genworth Extended and the GNP Extended policies. Uninsured Motorist Medical Uninsured Motorists covers medical payments for the driver and passengers if you are injured by an uninsured motorist, up to the limit you select. This coverage is increased on the "Extended" policies. Legal Assistance and Bail Bond Our Mexico auto insurance policies automatically come with 24 hour Legal Assistance and Bail Bond. Many of the cheap policies sold at the border to do include this. Road Assistance Road Assitance is also automatically included.
